We've been looking forward to getting cracking on this car for sometime and it's finally underway, the owner asked for some pictures to be posted for progress and we also thought others may be interested too.
The Car it's self is an EP3 that's been owned by the customer since 3 Months from new and having lived in London all it's life it's become a little battle scared and tired. The owner has a strong motorsport background racing in Clio Cup, MG Trophy and other race series so we're excited to see what the EP3 can do behind the hands of an experienced racer.
The plan is basically to prepare the car for VTEC Challenge 2014 and to complete the full season that year.
The car its self is being built in stages and first on the agenda is the Suspension. After discussions all parts were decided and ordered and now we're at the stage of getting cracking fitting everything.
Whilst in for the suspension the owner also wanted to change the look a little so we sourced a Mugen Front Lip, Mugen Spoiler and along with our partnership bodyshop next door we'll be repairing the front wing which has a rather large dent at present..
Any questions on parts choice or anything at all feel free to ask:
We didn't really take many pictures of the car when it came in but have a few to show before and afters which will be up in the next few days when the job is completed :bigthumb:
In terms of parts that were chosen:
AST Coilovers - Custom Spring Rates and Valving
Progress 24mm Rear ARB
Progress 27mm Front ARB
Buddyclub Roll Centre Adjusters
SuperPro Full Bush Kit
DME Camber Arms
DME Rear Lower Control Arms
Hardrace Front Drop Links
Steering Rack Raiser
Mugen Rep Front Lip
Mugen Rep Rear Wing
We're now at the stage where the de-rusted and painted parts are drying so we'll update some more tomorrow:
Thanks,
Robert :bigthumb:

The EP3 itself being stripped down:
Rear Parts removed:
All Standard parts removed, front hubs missing from picture:
Lower Arm Minus bushes awaiting paint: We always rust treat and paint all lower arms we have in as standard in with the cost:
The parts all together ready to go on bar the coilovers which we're waiting on:
Some close ups of the suspension parts:
DME Lower Control Arms, These are great in the way they even have a grub screw to release tension for corner weighting.
DME Camber Arms - As can be seen these have a very thick body providing great strength:
Progress Front Anti Roll Bar 27mm:
Progress Rear Anti Roll Bar 24mm:
Hardrace Front Drop Links - Much stronger than OEM at the same price!:
Buddyclub Roll Centre Adjusters:
SuperPro Caster Increase Bushes - Please note, it seems many have these fitted incorrectly judging by pictures we've seen! The Cones should sit flat against the bush. Image also shows CAD drawing which shows this:
SuperPro Outer Hub Bushes:
SuperPro Upper Control Arm Bushes:
