Just had a little morning out to the local Porsche garage. Been looking at buying a Boxster S for months now, so today I finally bit the bullet and put a deposit down on one. I should pick it up in around a week once it's been serviced, taxed and MOT'd. Here are some pics from the dealers website, I took some of my own on my phone but they aren't as good:

Roof is a little scruffy, but doesn't leak and will look a whole lot better once it's had a proper clean. It's got 18" Carrera alloys on it which could do with a little attention, it is 10 years old though. Apart from that it's got every option on it and was owned by a Porsche Club UK member who seems to have looked after it well judging by all the history it's got.

Cannot wait to collect it now

The garage I'm buying it from is amazing too! (Only if you're into Porsches).

I think Boxters look great but would be hard to look at one there with everything else on offer

The Corsa is still WIP (I know). I did post a pic of the colour at some point - it's green, colour matched from a hoodie I own

I'm trading in the Punto for the Porsche as they offered me a good enough deal on the whole thing.

Nice purchase Ed. Looks like Seal Grey? If it is, its the same colour as my 987 S which has gone back up for sale this week.

Cheers, it is indeed Seal Grey My colour choices were this or Lapis Blue - think they suit dark colours well.

Cheers Rich Need to speak to you about it at some point - the paintwork is in really good condition (it's definitely had a front end respray at some point) but the roof and interior need a real good detail. The roof is grubby and has white polish on it in a few spall spaces and the interior has been liberally coated in silicone based products. Do you still sell products/would you be able to do some work on it for me at some point?

I think the stigma attached to boxsters has worn off these days - cool car! You wouldnt think it was 10 years old.

Any plans for it or staying standard?

No worries. I can either do some work on it for you if you want me to, or can recommend products to buy if you fancy DIY. I don't sell anything anymore though

Cheers Rich - are you going to be around at Lemass anytime soon? I'll probably just maintain it over the winter and then book it in with you in the spring I think.

Not decided yet, one half on me wants to get the wheels refurbished, the brake callipers repainted and a new hood. The other half says fuck it and just use it. Need to speak to someone who knows what they're talking about to see if it's worth ploughing money into it I think

Lovely car. Enjoy the hairdresser comments from brainless morons.

Had one from a 30 stone woman in work last week. I felt like saying ''yes love, you can only dream of fitting in something like this''.

jealousy is a terrible thing.

Renovo reviver works wonders. I used it on mine and it looks brand new now.

Saying that we had a 964 meet at a nice pub in Surrey. Three of us turned up first and a biker twat started calling us hairdressers? Wtf. They were all coupe's.
then about 15 more 964's turned up and he promptly went inside

Don't think many hairdressers drive around in cars with a power to weight ratio of over 200bhp per tonne!

I don't mind Boxsters, but not really liking that. Looks a bit "plain". Bumpers look a bit basic, and the ride height is a bit on the high side. I keep looking at it, and it reminds me of a Toyota MR2, the newest shape.

Signed up for the Sunday Service at Goodwood this weekend too, likelihood of getting in when I'm number 1006 on the list? Think I need to plan on going somewhere else.
