It wasn't the plug that was leaking, it was the oil pressure switch that it was plugged into. They are common problem on the vauxhall engines!

looks nothing like a lambda sensor, nor the plug that connects onto it.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
