In the past i've used the parking at the train station but it's always been Sundays/super quiet Saturdays and it's never been too bad. But i need to park there tomorrow and with it being a weekday i can see that being a no-go plus stupidly expensive.
Anyone got ideas where's best to park then (for 6 hours or so)?

It's only £9 to park there for the day.

Surely any public car parks (shopping centres etc) would cost a similar amount for a full day?

Just checked the website for the local shopping centre and it's £8 for 13 hours or more.
Granted you aren't likely to spend that long there, but it's only for comparison purposes.

Yeah round here, it's free to park at Merry Hill (Westfield shopping mall) and most of the train stations around here are also free to park - including the one down the road from me which is handy when I need to go into Birmingham or even down south.

Costing me less for the return ticket to Birmingham Plus i doubt there will be spaces at midday with it being a weekday 'n' all.
What about parking in one of the business parks on Silbury, Midsummer or Avebury Boulevard - that a good plan/good chance of grabbing a space? I believe it's only 30p/hr for one of the standard spaces (assuming after 6 it's free?).

Parking is even worse now National Rail are located there. It's a good 15mins walk from the Shops too. I've actually got shit loads of residents permits for some 'R' zones but not sure where for exactly. Different housing areas have different numbered 'R' zones. What time you leaving? I can look into the zones and meet you if it's convenient? Other than that the 'purple' zones are indeed 30p p/h and free after 6.
