Was going to just plug an Ethernet cable in but can't find the one that come with the net, I'm on o2 wireless (actual Broadband not a dongle) its really annoying me now I get two minutes into a game of BF3 or Black ops and the gameplays dead jumpy, and then disconnects (little plug in the corner in a triangle) but I can still get shot, just can't move my player. Had a quick google and it mainly says "use ps wired" or baffles me with geek talk, anyone help?

Did it use to work fine and has suddenly stopped or is this a new setup that hasn't ever worked properly?
How far is PS3 from the router?

It's worked for months and started playing up when I played black ops, so tried BF3 again and it's still the same on there, the router is above the ps3, tried moving it away a bit and tried moving it closer, still the same.

Ran a connection test and it came up with these results, note the connection error at the bottom, if I buy a new router will this help anything? Google searches suggest my O2 router is no good and a net gear one will solve the issue

What speed are you expecting and what do you get if you run a speedtest.net on your PC?
Those speeds shown are horrible.

Mobile phone internet is 5x faster than that! That's a shocking speed and ping!
For online gaming you want 2mb+ download, 0.5mb+ upload and ping lower than 50ms.

It means the connection you're receiving is close to a 1024/512 kbps (up/down) connection. What speed are you paying for?
If possible, try connecting your PC to the router with a cable and run the test again, to see if you get a different result. It's very possible that your connection simply isn't faster. From what I know it SHOULD be sufficient to give a smooth online experience as not a lot of data is moved back and forth.
The error code on your receive on the PS3 seems to have something to do with obtaining an IP. The first Google result I found suggested the DMZ method you've posted above, so that would be the next thing on my list.

My router won't allow DMZ I've been trying all morning on google for info, but can't access it when I log in to the router
O2 simple is 20gb so I assume I'm paying for 20gb

I would guess that 20GB is your download limit and not your expected speed!?
