I decided I needed to scratch my BMW itch again on Wednesday so put the Volvo on eBay; someone came out this morning with the cash and its gone; was quite shocked considering the time of year and also tax was out at the end of the month and MOT at the end of next
I was initially going to get an E46 M3 and been so tempted to pick up the phone and buy this one
But we have a dog and child with the view to have another in the not so distant future I just wasnt sure it was practical.
So after spending lastnight looking on all the usual sites and not being convinced with anything I thought I would pop into BMW today.
After a few hours, a few test drives and a bit of bartering I have ordered pretty much the same as this
Except I have ordered the 320d M Sport with the black leather at the moment (although thinking about changing that to beige), rear tints, heated front seats and rear built in blinds.
Got a 12 week wait tho which is annoying but does mean it will be on a 13 plate

Looks lovely and much more sensible option, il probs get a diesel bm next for a change.
Please keep with the black leather, it'll look crap without it and will only get dirty.

So your looking at a 10 year old M3 and end up buying a brand new estate? fair play.
More the sensible option though, and as said I'd stick with black leather over beige. Lovely car though!

Very nice, and a much more practical choice for your needs
If you do have a dog & child (potentially 2 in the future) stick to black leather though for christs sake!

Looks nice man I'm a big fan of 'light' interiors so I'll say beige too just don't let the dog nowhere near it.
Wouldn't mind something like this myself if I had the extra money for a new motor

Yeah think im going to stick with Black leather; the only thing im thinking now is to chnge for the auto box £1600 extra or even just get the 330d which has the metalic paint standard and auto standard auto tiptronic which after driving I think I might like!

Definetly stick with the black. I have an estoril blue clubsport with black leather and its a million times better than ones with grey leather, would also sell much better aswell. As for the 330d, do some maths to see how much more it'll cost you each month to run and decide if it's worth it or not. If you were wanting an M3 then speed is obviously an issue so maybe best going for it. As for an auto, ask if you can test drive one (for a day if possible) to see if you like it or not.
Also did you have an estoril Z3M or something one year? What interior colour was that?

That front end looks great with the m sport front bumper. Without them, they look shite.
Great choice on colour aswell. So much nicer than typical mundane silvers/black.

330D would get my vote. Can map it and probably won't be far off straight line pace of the M3.

I have decided to stick with my original order of 320d; worked it out price wise and you just have to draw the line somewhere tho and im happy with what the 320 costs so think im not gonna stretch myself for the 330 0-60 on the 320d isnt slow at 7.7; with 60MPg and low tax. Going to ask for a 24hr test drive on an auto tho to see if thats worth the extra.
Does anyone know if when you buy a car you can still pay extra to choose the plate?
