Long and fairly boring video, but couldn't believe this car was salvaged - surely this isn't an economical repair?

Won't be economical no, will have been a write off and the guy has repaired it himself. If insurance over there works like here that is, too many labour hours on it. Main guess its one of his own is the second hand door.

Would have thought the roof skin would have been replaced though.

All depends how much he paid for the car, he's clearly a very competent panel beater so could propably of done that within a could of weeks

My other halfs uncle did something similar with a almost brand new Beemer in the 90s when he was skint and had bought it salvage

Parts in russia are really hard to get or really expensive.

That car was rolled - that's why all damage. Probably was bought in Europe and transported to Russia for repairs. Once fixed sold on.

It's not this guy's car - not the one he drives anyway. Look at the amount of videos he has uploaded.


This is the most damage repaired car i have seen from him..

its very common in easturn europe for this level of repair. time is very cheap out there and parts expensive. worked with a polish guy for a while who shiped loads of write offs back home and repaired them, sold them on for a big profit. very skilled panel beaters, sadly a skill thats becoming rare in the uk.

If you've got the skills then why not. I know if i could do that i'd be spending my saturdays fixing write offs for a tidy profit!
