was just about to post this

this made me laugh:

quote:
A friend said the wealthy businessman was 'gutted' by the loss - and suggested that he might have confused it with yet another pricey car he owns which is designed to withstand flooding.

as you do...

'Robert also has a 1940 Land Rover with a snorkel, which he probably thought he was driving when he went through the floods.'

are people really that retarded, that they can mistake a 100k bentley for a shoddy old range rover?

Are you retarded - that comment is clearly a sarcastic comment against the driver.

Rich man ruins car doing something silly then buys another

Christ, Daily Mail really is a ridiculous paper

They're also launching a campaign to ruin Jack Whitehalls career like they did with Ross - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2256352/Jack-Whitehall-dropped-presenter-TV-awards-Channel-4-repeats-vile-quiz.html

I don't like Jack Whitehall, think the guys a snobby talentless twat, but he said nothing more than a lot of "comedians" say about people on that show

Shouldn't get paid out if he willingly was stupid enough to drive into that.

We all end up paying for his stupidity.

Probably when it came out, even the daily mail wouldn't be writing an article about that.
A fairly high value car is worth 100k for a headline, if it was 151k they'd have probably said 200k.

They also probably don't care what month the landrover was built after you've spent all afternoon googling it. What's really happened is some journalist that normally writes about dieting has had a guess.

Not really news, so the guy misjudged it, I prefer to see people getting on with their daily lives than the world coming to a stand-still.

To say he doesn't deserve to have it is a bit silly, its not like he was doughnutting it around a field.

Also -

quote:
I would have put the car in neutral which modern automatic cars have these days and used all my energy to push the car out of the deep water.

This is a car which weighs 2.3t, never mind the weight of the water inside.

Also like the way he thinks neutral is a recent thing.
