On my xe if got a pipercross pk which is like a sponge come filter. And I was just wondering if this is a good one for the xe? Or weather there is a better one to use.

You do get marginal gains from running a cone filter. Air box can actually provide a restriction.

From personal experience, i found that the airbox removed a few flat spots that were noticeable with an open cone filter fitted.

Drove smoother also. That was with Sfi box fitted too.
