Hello,

I'm looking for some recommendations for a pretty hard wearing vinyl to wrap/protect certain parts of the car.

The cage door bars and such like, side sills (door scuffs them).

Anyone got any recomendations other than the generic ebay stuff?

something a little like this

How much do you need to shape it? Or is it only flat surfaces?

The 3M DiNoc stuff is fairly thick, but not incredible nimble. Expensive as well.
Hexis Carbon wrap is a bit thinner but easy to work with and shape.

Generally to achieve the carbon pattern a fairly thick vinyl is used, so I'd imagine any cheap eBay job would offer a pretty good protection.

good good...

no real tricky shapes... just tubes like above, and a fairly flat sill

need about

4x 1000mm x 150mm (2 cars, 2 sets of door bar tops)
2x 500mm x 150mm (harness area for GTR)
4x 1000mm x 150mm for Sill protection

so a roll of some shit should do... then cut to suit

Carbon effect is the most expensive. Olympic blue in the hexis 20000 range is a very very match to french racing blue

Yeah, that's what I would do. Either way it'll get worn with time, so better to opt for the cheaper solution and just replace / wrap over it when it starts to get thin.
