As the tital says really, been looking for a specific car an astra SRI cdti 150xp any way now broadening my search for a sporty diesel. I've always liked the styling of the K1 and remember seeing one but with twin exhausts in stead of the normal centre exit got me thinking was that a diesel one or just another petrol variant?
Would love to have a diesel version but do they do them or any think similar as I can guess it probably wouldn't be called a K1

Think you got the FR with the 2.0 Tdi. The K1 kit would have been a factory fitted option aswell.

This is the diesel version. My mates had it for about 2 yrs now and loves it. It goes well for an oil burner.

Yeah as said the closest thing is the FR, 2.0 TDi 170bhp.
If you want the K1 kit, it will be more than likely called the 'BTCC Kit'.

Ah that's the one you posted last time that got me thinking eck I'm blaming you haha! Been looking and there's quite a few about, obviously want a white one and then a set of black wheels, need to see what's about now. Least that's 2 potential cars now, this money is burning a hole in my pocket haha

Yeah I no the one you mean but not seen it lately, it was fairly standard when I last spotted it, he had a nice VXR before that. Sound's nice then?

the kits overrated
btw you wont get the center exhaust on the derv version as standard, it could be butchered on but it will tend to be one exit each side or the standard one.
btw if looking at dervs, pre facelift ones use the pd engine which is better top end but also has more issues with it due to the dpf, the facelift models (59plate+) use the cr engine which is alot smoother and quieter with a little less top end poke but more mid range as far as i am aware no dpf issues.

was expecting that reply haha
Ah yeah I know the ones I've been looking at have the single each side exhaust was this an extra haven't yet seen a single on one side exhausts yet only on the non btcc kitted cars.
Ah thanks for that have been trying to work out which year to go for to avoid the issues
Read that you can he the dpf removed though

Nice example that prefer the 3 door in the A3 though. Looked into the 1 series but the mileage is so high for my budget £9k
Really struggling finding a sporty diesel I like
