is it possible to buy a bottle of champagne/white wine that was bottled this year and will be at its best in say 25years?

basically me and my brother did this for our parents anniversary (opposite way around) we bought a bottle that was bottled in the year they got married, I would like to do something similar for my bro who gets married this year.

the site we used though only seems to go up to 2008 so far

Champagne doesn't really keep; wine does but it needs Portuguese cork to last that long. I'm not sure on screw caps or rubber corks as given that they're relatively new, it's difficult to know if they'll perish. There's plenty of wine bottled each year but I would suggest buying a decent bottle (£20+) to ensure its well bottled and corked

A wine/champagne can't become vintage, it either is or isn't. Vintage means that particular year was good for growing.

Go to a wine merchants or specialist and tell them what you're after i.e. a future vintage which is from this year's harvest.

That said, this year's harvest may not be available to buy until next year at the earliest as it needs to condition before being bottled-there's also no saying that this year will be a good vintage until its casked, conditioned and bottled.

I got given a bottle of wine, 1989 chateau margaux, was a good year as it happens and worth slightly more than the jacobs creek and some other shit the guy gave me. sold it to an antique wine company for £700.

I was given my favourite white and red from the year I was born not so long back. Nice present imo.
