Loads of rumors about this now.
DualShock controller is supposed to be dead (again) and will be replaced by something with a touchpad and a "share" button to quickly share screenshots and video...
Not sure how that sounds.
Generally more focus on interaction and "social gaming".
Rumored to be "more advanced" than Xbox 720, but then the PS3 was more advanced than the 360 and hardly any advantage was taken from that.
Supposed to get a name instead of a 4, like is the case with the Vita.
Should be here by the end of 2013.

Haven't really followed that, tbh. If there isn't, then the rumor about the PS4 being more advanced than the 720 is based on a rumor, which in my opinion is the best type of rumor.

Always going to be better than the 720 but will cost more in the first place but cheaper in the long run!

Because the 3 was better and cost more than the 360 doesn't mean that the next gen ones will be the same.
Maybe HD-DVD will make a comeback.

Has a new standard been implemented for physical 4K media?
As far as I'm aware you can put 4K films on a standard Blu-Ray disk but it's in such a way that it's not longer backwards compatible, so they can't call it 'Blu-Ray' otherwise consumers would get confused...

Not sure. Wouldn't matter for games though. The console can output in whatever resolution they want. It's just data stored on the disc.

Quick read says we're in for another media war with Quad-HD-DVD and whatever they call the 4K Blu-Ray, hopefully Microsoft won't make the same mistake again.

What did they do wrong? it was Toshiba's technology, they just released a HD DVD drive, which sold pretty well considering.
The only reason Blu-Ray won was the massive early adoption via PS3. so unless M$ (or Apple ) decide to support it out of the box i think the route Sony go down with PS4 will win again.. however, i dont expect the jump from SD tv's to HD to be anything like HD to 4K (if that indeed does become the standard and not UDHD) uptake wise. lots of money for a 4k panel compared to, more than sufficient (for most people) 1080p ones

Seeing as hardly any PS3 games play at native 1080p I wouldn't be too excited about 4K in the PS4 until I actually see developers start implementing it in their games.

Xbox 720
8 CPU cores at 1.6GHz, with a custom 800MHz graphics processor in the GPU. There are 8GB of RAM on board, with 32MB of fast embedded SRAM at double the throughput speed, and a 50GB-capable 6x Blu-ray drive. Wireless connectivity protocols include both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, and there’s still a Gigabit Ethernet port for gamers with low latency multiplayer demands. It’ll also come with USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4a, which supports 3D over HDMI, Ethernet, audio return channels and 4K resolution.

PS4 (or Orbis as they call it) info from same site as the above:
http://www.vgleaks.com/world-exclusive-orbis-unveiled/
Seems to be very similar spec, though from these "leaks" the Box will have twice the memory.
