ive come to the conclusion when someone says they have an f28 with no crunches or whines for sale they are talking shite. ive got 2 spares, one has a knackered 2nd and the other has knackered 3rd, so one day, i will make 1 box from the 2.

£180 + vat for 1 & 2
£39 + vat each for 3, 4, 5, & 6
Came in at £413 delivered. There is not a lot left and not even full sets. So once what's on the shelf has gone, that's it. No more left.
I looked up the FTO part and they are the same. But buying these from Mitsubishi, they only supply them with the gear section and not on there own and there around £750 a gear
You could hunt for the gearboxes in scrap yards but your in the same scenario with possible worn synchro's.
I've no intention of ever selling my car so the gearbox will be practically brand new and ill keep the synchro's they take out in a draw IF ever needed.
There is a gearbox place in Preston call Steve's transmissions that have done work for Ste so I'm going to give them a bell when I've got the bits. They should be with me Wednesday or Thursday.
Hope that helps mate

spot on mate, if you get stuck with a gear box place there is one by mine who are well recommended from the ford lads called gears, done a few bits to mine now and never had any prob with them
