I sold my vectra vxr yesterday. Bought it last year after selling the evo, I needed something a bit more sensible quickly for a family car.
Drove it for a year and got back what I payed for it (sold just before tax due too, £460!) Never had a single problem with it, but got bored and wanted a change.
I nearly bought an insignia vxr sports tourer this week but couldn't agree a price with the garage. Think this may have been a good thing though as I'd imagine I'd lose alot of money on it in 3 years.
I'm thinking of maybe getting an rs4 avant (b5 or b7). I'm swaying more towards the b5 right now as I love the look of them. Does anyone have any experience with the b5 rs4?
Also seen a vxr8 i liked but would prefer a hatch or estate for dog etc....

Nice looking Vectra there. Think I saw an Ad for that this week on eBay?
If you have enough money, Vauxhall will sell you a VXR8 Estate now...
I'd personally look at a 335d/535d Touring... Good potential for tweaks, plus Estate, plus good economy etc. I'm looking at them myself at the moment as an option for when I get rid of my Vectra VXR in a year or so.

The RS4 is a good shout but it would have to be the B7 shape if it was mine. The B5 just looks really dated now IMO.

I didn't even advertise the vxr. Was lucky really as my mate wanted it so saved hassle of trying to sell. Was only getting offered £3.25k trade in form vauxhall too so I'm happy with what I got. I had no idea you could get a vxr8
I like the 35d bmw's, but it seems to be quite hard finding a low mileage one for decent money.

I love the B5 and B7 but there's a couple of B7 saloons in my town now and someone over the road from me just got a sprint blue avant. Wouldn't mind something a bit different.

I really like the E60 m5 and nearly bought one after selling the evo. Would have to have a warranty though as repair costs on them frighten me. Cost of warranty after searching forums seems to be from £800 - £2k per year

Ah, the shortened front plate threw me as one is on there now with one. ha.
Yeah, the current VXR8 model can be ordered through Vauxhall in Saloon, Wagon or Maloo (Pick-up) Forms now. Wagon is a bit of a beast...
No idea on cost though!

Supposed to be looking at an E60 M5 tomorrow. I called about a nice VXR8 at the weekend, but it was sold.
Slowly going off the B7 RS4 as I have seen about 6 of them in my town in the last week or 2.
I keep changing my mind though!
