Could anybody give me a rough price and parts list for building a 300bhp C20LET? Already been through Ben's thread but it's giving twice the power I want.

Between 4-6k for a proper none bodged job. Depending on brands of parts.

EDS ph2 chips

3.5 bar FPR

FMIC

BCR8ES plugs gapped to 0.6 (iirc)

Decent fuel pump (walbro 255 etc)

2.5" exhaust (or bigger if you want)

This setup should give you near 300bhp if your turbo is good, if not you'll need a hybrid or different unit (t34, td05 etc)

An had no trouble putting the power to the tarmac...

But they are purpose built drag cars, not everyday road cars.

Also, can you fire up some links please as im interested to see a 6s FWD car.

Also i would agree with sri boy.

If its to put in a Corsa, 300bhp is more than enough to keep it sane, and still be a very quick road car. IMO, anything more, it will start to lose the fun factor as you could be forever chasing numbers and spending shit loads of money to improve it in most area's.

Take bigrons as a perfect example, mega mega power all things considered, and not much has been left untouched to try and get full use of the power.

A purpose built drag car is in a different class to a purpose built every day car though. League's apart.

also intrested to see these youtube links to the eco techs, had a look on there but cant find them , as said i think 300bhp is enough in a corsa shell fwd for the road anything over that ends up costing loads and is to much for the road

Ave got a astra gsi and it's prob runing 280 and wheelspins like MAD with conti tyres it's puts power down if u play with the throttle so plus ave built a few let corsas and unles there diffed up and runing slicks or sticky tyres a find it hard to run daily with 300+ hence why Ron nick and a few other people on here with 300+ cars don't use them everyday

I'd not be using it every day. For anybody who wants to know, the engine would prob be going into a Zakspeed-rep Ford Escort MK2. BDA Turbo engine is like £10k+
