Trying to get this crap green tape off my wheels and not having much luck

Tried tar&glue remover, heat, plastic scraper but only managed to get a small portion off, it's stubourn as ****

Any ideas?

Presumably you want to take a scalpel/blade of some persuasion and carefully lift one edge and peel it off. Then once its off use the tar/glue remover to clean any residue.

I know it sounds daft, But use a wall paper steamer. Its how they get the wraps off the lorry's at work when they are done with.

This is the first thing I tried

heated up, used a razor blade to lift the edge and soaked in tar and glue for a bit. Just breaks off in little bits!

It does actually work as it softens the glue and the steam gets behind it and lifts it away.

Plus it won;t do any damage to the painted surface of the wheels. It may leave the glue behind but tar and glue remover gets rid of that.

is that standard? The reason I ask, is my motorbike has a gold strip of tape on the tank, which has been laquered over, maybe this is the same?

Heat gun to strip off the tape and then petrol to remove glue.

You will only need to warm the tape and it will peal. Then a bit of petrol will remove the glue.

That's how i removed all the stickers off a Ford Connect i bought. Did a really good job.

Just peal all the stickers before using the petrol on each wheel

high pressure steam cleaner/pressure washer should mince that off in no time, the big karcher ones used for cleaning wagons, turn the temp up and stand fairly close it should take them off in no time, but take the centre caps out 1st as it'll probably strip them too.

It may be worth trying a caramel wheel. Although it might be a bit awkward to get at seem as its sat in the recess of the wheel
