maybe getting a 316ti compact cheap as it needs an engine. my question is what other engines if any, go straight in? not that i am desperate to put a huge engine in it but if there were a cheap eninge that just happend to be out a 318,320 etc i would just stick that in.
any help would be great.

All of them fit, 328i or one of the M3 engines is the obvious choice, 328i being the cheaper option.

Bit more tail happy than the normal E36 but better than the E30.

Z3m was a great handling car. One of the best I've driven.

I looked into them as a cheap daily but they aren't particularly cheap to insure or tax let alone MPG.
Would quite fancy one on 750 rims as per above

What happened to the engine?? I had 1 for all of a week lol. And for about 5 of those 7 days, the engine was in bits. The N42 engine in them is plagued with problems, very bad engines. Was nice to drive though.
