You have the pictures the wrong way round but yeah. Stretch looks good, provided its not too much which it isn't. It's perfectly fine also

I forgot to add they were on a set of wheels we bought and were swiftly removed in favour of some 185/45 which look loads better

it only looks good if the wheels are wide.

sticking a tiny tyre on a tiny wheel just looks like you have poverty spec steels/alloys on your car, and from the rear it looks pathetic.

On 5.5j wheels it looks wrong. The view from the rear is comical.

Stretching tyres is for a reason - to get wide or low offset wheels to fit in the arches. having stretched tyres on skinny wheels or where there is loads of room in the arches with standard fitted tyres looks wrong!

As said really, stretching for fitment is good. Stretching for no other reason than 'because it's cool' is bad.

This is mine. 165/45 federals on my 7j et33 oz turbo's

Stretch would actually give me a better fitment because vw wheels, and if I'm going there might aswell go all out right, and small car small tyres shouldn't be too bad, that's what I'm thinking anyway

Pointless and stupid.

The arguement for it enabling wider wheels is wank as you are going from a 195 wide to a 165, meaning the wheel is too big anyway.

Dangerous and out of design tolerance for the tyre.

Oh and while I'm ranting. STOP saying j afetr your wheel width as j is a code for the bead seat and you aren't even using the bead seat so it's irrelevant

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

This whole 7j, 8j thing is fairly new isn't it?

A couple of years ago people seemed to know just fine that a wheels width was measured in inches, but now everyone has suddenly dumbed down.

And imo don't put stretched tyres on a 6" wide wheel, it's going to look weird with the wheel being so narrow.

I meant that everybody's need to mention their tyre bead is a fairly new thing.
