What are the benefits of having your own policy over being a named driver? Apart from saving some lot of money first young drivers.

Not commiting insurance fraud..... But proving it is going to be nigh on impossible and if you use someone like admiral then they give NCB to name drivers use on their own policy down the line.

Sadly this is the main legal battle... basically a named driver shouldn't be the main users of the car but proving it would be difficult and expensive for an insurance company

Exactly, unless you admit it there isn't really a way of them proving you're the main driver - unless of course the policy holder has been out the country
