What are your thoughts on this? ie.. whats at the edge/past the edge?
Just been reading this on bbc news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-21866532 quite suprised it managed to keep going and not hit anything or is it some kind of giant conspiracy where space doesnt actually exist and they are just making up data to make us think it does? 
always been interested by space etc and whats out there but then get a headache trying to get my head around it all .
would be funny if it went past the edge and then came back the other side like on pacman

The thing is, it only got a enough power for 8 more years, it's been going 35 and is only just outside the solar system now, we probably won't learn anything more from it.

You realise it's at the edge of our solar system, not the universe, right?
If you like this sort of thing and want a good read, I'd recommend picking up Bill Bryson's A Short History Of Nearly Everything.
It's a fantastic book, that covers a lot of scientific questions in a very, very down to earth fashion.

I think its all a bit pointless, got no interest in space anymore as it makes my brain hurt and i end up feeling depressed about it.
Someone will come along and change everything, a bit like when gravity was invented or they found out the earth was round.
We just happen to be here at this moment in time

Space is awesome, billions of galaxies with billions of stars each, just crazy how much is out there
As Balling said it's only reaching the edge of our minute corner of it all, and it's taken 35 years to do that, which is why we will probably never reach anywhere else further

Time is the main problem here, might be another earth right now as i type with people and everything, but by the time i finish typing this that planet is now extinct. And we just missed it all by seconds.

whenever i think about space and how small and insignificant our lives actually are, it makes my brain hurt as 3cm's does, so i tend not to think about it much.
i did see the article on bbc news last night and the fact it's been going 35 years and only just at the edge of our own solar system is simple staggering.

Why has this had electricity for the past 35 years when my phone only lasts a couple of days?

I'm pretty sure that this was "news" a few years ago?
It's impressive the old bird has kept going for this long, I'd like to think one day it's recovered by a manned vessel and ends up in a museum.
They need to get a move on and start recruitment/training for a generation ship.

Brian Cox was on an episode of QI the other week (repeat) and he said they have just found a new star so far away that the image we see of it was produced at the big bang

Sad I know but I think there was a Star Trek episode where they came across the all powerful thing that could destroy them.
Turned out it was the voyager craft some how built it self up and just wanted to send its info back
