The feul one was driven against a government this is against some old people who think its too noisy to pluck their daffodils.

It litteraly takes 30 seconds or less.

Because the decision to close a race track is based on the balance of public opinion and not the business interests of the government.

There quite a lot going round on the trackday forums about this.

Unfortunately Mallory never imposes sound test, and is doing more and more trackdays. Some guys even confess to 110+db systems, but as Mallory doesn't do anything they have dug themselves a hole that was a long time coming. The locals have had enough, and I do have sympathy for them.

However,

Rather than bringing in tighter controls on noise testing, the council are trying to impose a 98db (might be 96db) limit, which is quieter than most standard cars. Given that bikes modern Ducatis and Aprillia (and even my Benelli) STANDARD exhausts are 100db+, its un-realistic and vastly over-powering.

Theres been a lot of meetings going on trying to sort it, but the council are trying to be mini-hitlers rather than working with the track to reduce noise.

Every vote does count for this as its directly against the local council to show how many people would be effected, revenue lost etc.

Mallory has dug their own pit, but motorsport/cars/bikers need to unite to fight it.

Takes only a few minutes, if your into cars/bikes, anything this natured, please sign it.

One chap on has even said, in 30+ years riding there, he has never been sound tested.

I've been there 3x, and also never been tested.

Daimo, just for info, I've been three or four times in last three years and have been sound tested at all of them. Last time was in October '12

Well that proves me wrong from the general going around then

See I've never been tested, so kind have gone on from what quite a few others have said and from myself, but they obviously do do sound testing then

Which makes it even worse then
