long sotry short , alternator gone car is abandoned about 30 miles away , how dificult is it to change ?

depends what engine all the 1.0 and 1.2 engines are pretty easy but the 1.4/1.6 16v are not so easy

1.2 mate , is it just a case of dissconecting the wires , belt of nd swap them . also is it possible to do under the car with a jack ?

if its a 8v you can do it all from the top but 16v you will need a jack you will need 8mm socket and reachet and possibly a spanner and the same in 13mm too to get the wires off i cant remember it might be 13mm or 15mm to get the alternator bolts off and if its a 8v you need to under the belt tension at the top i think is a 10mm to loosen the belt

justone more thing infact , i assume the alternators are all the same on corsa , ?

no theres 2 types you have a single v belt type and a multi rib belt type if its 8v is usualy single v and 16v is usually multi rib type

also if its 16v you will need possible a 13mm or a 14mm to let the tension off the alternator belt

shyte , can see me having to put a charger battery in and hoping i make it home lol , sorry imno clued up on this kinda stuff , i have a 16 v and what willi need to lookfor on the alernator to indicate its the right one ?

got the car back mate , got my dad to tow me back , 45 miles 3 ft behind my dads audi , never concetrated so much lol , cheers for help buddy , took about 2 hours to get one of a car at the scrappys and fit it
