Ever notice this? Just gone to buy spark plugs for the VR6 Corrado super coupe beast i own and they are more than twice the price i paid in 2008.

Same with suspension, was about £575, now about £700.

I reckon its companies trying to combat the credit crunch and makes themselves more money.

isnt inflation something like 2% a year though roughly. Meaning these things have gone up not inline with inflation

Prefer the Corrado, if i hadn't gone down this route i'd be stuck with some sort of ugly hatchback with a posh sales brochure and tdi engine, like a fabia, ibiza, A3 etc then be kidding myself for the next 3yrs that's its cool, but a wise, sensible choice

Still believe my motoring has cost significantly less than all these people thinking they are winning by buying a compromise. Admit it, you would rather have a sporty coupe with great engine than grandads hatchback with a few selling point extras.

Supply an demand,
I always find people start selling stuff cheap, when a certain product does well they increase the price to maximise profit,

One example of this I used to buy a massive roll if kitchen roll type tissue from morrisons, (good for in the garage) it started out as 99p 2 years ago, then it was very rare they weren't sold out due to popularity, now they are £3.50, so that's like a 250% increase.

Ouch. Glad you can take banter.

Edit: RE Petrol, Couple weeks ago I noticed it had gone up to around 148.9/litre but recently lowest I've seen is 135.9 so not too bad.

i've been to local tesco three times in three weeks and everytime all the unleaded is out of service and i've had to buy super, same as everyone else their.

i complained in the kiosk and got told it was problems with the tank/pump and not that they have run out.

They only shut the place down a few months back to replace all the shitty pumps etc
