WTF does this mean, in terms of parcel tracking information, the connote date, which is todays date.

I did google it but didnt spot that

That doesnt entirely make sense either because the parcel was dispatched last week and is en route some already, yet the connote date is today, that would mean it still hasnt left yet! which isnt the case
