Don't you just hate the period of time between ordering something you're really excited about and it being delivered.

I've wanted a car photography rig for so long and now and i've finally taken the plunge and ordered a beast
However it's probably going to be the end of next week until it arrives

I hate waiting

Yep, I do hate that. And I've more than once paid overprice to pick something up in a shop because I couldn't stand to wait.

Look forward to seeing the shots though. Which rig did you get?

That's it. I always order from somewhere that offers next day delivery. Even if it's a little more expensive

Holy shit that's a lot of money!

Can understand why you'd want something decent though. Wouldn't want to hang an expensive camera setup on just any piece of scaffolding attached to a suction cup.

Looks like some awesome gear, would love to have a play with something like that.

Yeah, it is pricey but as you said I didn't want to have any inferior products supporting my camera and lens.

Plus because it's carbon fibre it only weighs about 3.5kg where an aluminium rig would weigh about 35kg and that amount of weight on a suction pad could dent bodywork.
It's also a lot more rigid than an aluminium so a lot less bounce.

It's the same one GF Williams uses.

Rig pro in the us put a status on faceache about one of their customers smashing a lambo screen the othe day due to them being thin glass so just be careful how you attach to a car, I'd love a rig myself but could never justify paying for one as I'd rarely use it.

Yeah, i'm definitely going to be very careful. I don't want any big bills on my hands from angry supercar owners

Ouch, that must have been a bugger.

At the price! But I know what you mean about frustrating waits. I ordered my laptop for the same price as that kit and its finally arriving today after a 3 week wait

The kit I bought was actually only £1314.33 including delivery as I made a slight variation to the kit which means it's even lighter and I can get the camera firther away from the end of the boom.

Too expensive imo, no need. Unless you've got a decent contract with a car advertising team.

Likely a top spec 13" MBP or entry level 15" MBP in that price range.

I'm not too bothered about waiting, with the exception of a new car!

I could never order brand new from a dealership just because the wait from the factory would kill me. Boss has ordered an Audi this year with a 7 month wait, colleague ordered a Range Rover last year with a 9 month wait

I waited 4 days between seeing and buying my CTR and it was horrible - no sleep at all

Luckily with the Scoob, I viewed it and bought it at the same time so it wasn't too bad
