can anyone help with my fuel pump relay socket. It always disconnects from time to time and wondered if someone knew how to remove the pin holders from the socket?
Plz in desperate need of help

Do you mean taking the metal pins out of the plastic holder?

I just bought these to do that job

And if someone can tell me why the fuel pump relay gets hot or to tell me where to check for faults cause it feels hopeless

relays will get warm, but not hot. could be on its way out or to higher load on it. check wires to pump and earth points may have corrosion?

Flat blade between the faces of the connector and relay, if memory serves its a green one in the kick pannel in to a violet connector,

Also used to power the injectors, secondary air injection, and tank ventilation,

coil
85 Brown/Red
86 Black
contacts
30 Red (always live)
87 Red/Blue (feed to pump)

Check for issues with the fuel pump plug also located under rear seat.

Warm due to the coil being powered to energise

thanks to all that replied on my thread with all of your guys help I found the problem and it was the earth that is located under the handbrake it was heavily rusted because of my roof that was leaking
