As some of you probably know the wife and I are looking for 2 new cars. We've finally decided on the main car, which will have the long distance trip duty but I need to find something for her to travel to and from work in.
We thought we'd cracked it with a Mini Cooper S but having looked around it seems that with our budget, there's not a lot of choice.
So... There is literally no limit on anything other than budget, which is £4.5k, not a penny more.
She's said she wants something quick but something she can be sure will work every day.
I've looked around but there's too much choice for my brain to deal with
I'd quite like something I can play with, not something which it's impossible to get bits for, or something which has no potential.

I struggled, height wise, with the previous 2 mx5s, not sure I'd want another one as I never felt 100% safe slouched down in it

That would be immense Still sticking with Aristo though
£4,500 will get you a single turbo 2JZ (as I'm sure you're aware) with 400+ hp with absolute sleeper qualities Sorely tempted myself

Yeah, comfortable too!
Not sure she'd be too keen on one however.
S14a I like but I think I'd always wish it was an s15

Jambo, it's on the list. I'm fearful of reliability though as it really is pot luck. Broster never had issues with his 172 but my next door neighbour's one is never working, neither was my mate's one

Another vote for a ep3. More practical 182. Slightly less feely but feels more put together
Drives supercharged Tec with torque
