hi erm... i know i posted a similar topic recently, but someone else has been pissing me off... lol
basically he reckons he knows a lot about cars, and says by slapping on a basic K&N 57i induction kit on to any car will increase the car by 10bhp i reckon more like 5bhp! maybe 10bhp if it was being used with a full exhaust system, but no way on its on, 10bhp for £40 just aint realistic! please tell me im right because this guy wont get off my back... lol, cheers guys

10bhp hahahaha it makes a noise and on some cars it loses power!
i have one its smoothed out some flatspots thats it newer cars are controlled by a ecu k&n wont do much unless its chipped and has a fell exorst system and a high flow cat or cat replacement

All cars r differant sum respond well to induction kits others dont. Realistically ur lookin @ around 3bhp with a panel filter and abt 5bhp with induction kit. and yeah as a general rule u get 10bhp with induction kit and exhaust. 106 GTi/saxo vts respond really well to induction kits too.

16Vmarc, thank you for your post... they DO respond well to induction kits and exhaust systems.

K&N also admit their 1.2 8v induction kit reduces power... so I've heard anyways...
Legal note if K&N read this: The above is just a rumour and I have no hard evidence
