Will c20 red top injectors (cream) work in an x16 fuel rail?
I know my custom map will need tweaking but I need to get more fuel in as my oe injectors cannot keep up. I have an uprated fuel pump and adjustable regulator among the many other mods but just need bigger injectors. Help please, cheers all.

What have you done to need more fuel in? The X16XE injectors can cope with a decent power hike over standard.

Loads... Rally cams, polished inlet, vx plenum, oversized butterfly, custom ecu and mapping, 4 into 1 straight thru exhaust, forced induction etc. and of course strengthened bottom end.

Currently producing a nice strong 140 and still pulling at 7200 rpm but leaning out at the top end, hence my thoughts about injectors. If there is any other advice I would love to hear it :-)

Ok, so if you want more power now, without running lean what would you do? My map man has said he cannot get any more fuel in so the mixture will be screwed if he tries to squeeze any more out of it. There is plenty of fuel pressure and loads of air so injectors seem to be the limiting factor. Help.

Have you had yours reconditioned? its just the cream ones are abit old and supposedly the spray pattern is not so good, you might end up loosing power fitting these. Altho i wonder what the z18xe ones are like, would they fit? I have seen the standard x16xe ones on like 170bhp.

How can I get to 170? I'm out of ideas short of fitting throttle bodies.

Hi monkeytwizzel, I have upped the fuel pressure. And c16-jake I have had new chips soldered in my standard ecu to replace the old and a custom (safe) map by Sanspeed.

That's right Jonny. Hence the aftermarket chipset, making them programmable.

So aftermarket chipset in a standard ecu makes then mappable like standalone?

Is it any x16xe ecu that can get a chip put into it. Or a set ecu?

Any. But you need someone that really knows their stuff. Graham at Sanspeed in Bexleyheath is a bloody clever bloke, and won't overmap your engine so no reliability issues.
