So been looking at RX7s and really liking them...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221112659239?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1263wt_1141
Older model with low miles, dislike the front bumper and wheels, undecided on the spoiler, quite like the white. Looks in ace condition but is expensive.

Slightly newer but with higher miles, much prefer the front and wheels, dislike the spoiler immensly. Love the colour but am worried it may be faded/washed out? interior looks tatty but am getting some more pics over the weekend..
Both are similar spec 1st uk owner. Ideally i want one with the same spoiler as corsash's as its lovely.. would you continue looking or buy one and change the wing? want a fairly standard one with low-ish miles.
mods at a max are: coilies, wheels, exhaust, dv, fmic, induction kit really...
whats your opinions on these? where do I look for similar cars tbh?

We're these expensive new or something? £7k+ for a '95 Mazda is laughable.

You have to remember that even the newest RX7s are 11 years old. They simply don't have the reliability of the Supras/Skylines etc, even less so when modified.
I've had two of them. They were both notoriously expensive to run, although parts weren't that bad and theres a good network of spares through the owner's clubs, as well as loads of performance parts for them.
Neither of mine had any rust on them at 13 years old. Had a few electrical problems, one of which caused the engine to go bang about 2000 miles into a new rebuild.
Exceptionally quick, great to drive, but at that age they're going to need a fair bit of maintenance to keep them going.
Try the Mazda Rotary Club , or RX7.com forums for more up to date info.

So like any turbo?
Don't get me wrong, they're nice, just not £8k nice. I'd be looking at an Evo8 or somethin, somethin newer.

I've had an fd for 5 or so years. They are a love hate relationship. I bought mine with a rebuilt engine and documents to proove. Two weeks of ownership and told the engines duff. I got the engine rebuilt by pip at WGT in cheshire. Hes one of the best in the country at what he does. The engines still running now. This was mine just before I sold it.

The white one you have linked has been for sale a while at that garage. I personally wouldnt buy off ebay to get an rx7. Go on mazdarotaryclub or fduk. These are the best places to look for an fd.
The link below is a well maintained fd with disirable parts on it., ok the paint work might not be to everyone taste but its only paint. Paint cost compared to the parts tuning etc is a no brainer

still is a head turner. Ok it maybe vile but take away the kit and paint work you got your self a good base car to work with.
The older models are less bhp but only a small amount but thats in standard form, and how many are gonna be standard now a days? As for speed yeah they pick up very quick and can hit 150 mph + very fast.
I would have another one I loved owning one but like dan said can be costley, buy cheap buy twice with rx-7's
That yellow ones a 92 car 51k on the clock, so that could mean no rebuild in that time, so could be on the way out as 60K on an rx7 you want it to have had a rebuild

FD3S. 96 onwards are first facelift, 99 onwards are the prettiest looking and most up to date.
Type RS or Bathurst editions are worth having. Will look at your links now. Seen a mint 99 spec recently on FD:UK for £7500

Can you fit a normal engine to them or does it ruin the car. RB26 is it?

Of the ones you posted, the yellow one is nicer. Got a rare induction setup on it that's worth 500 or so alone.
But I'd avoid being a first UK owner. Let someone else fix all the bits that have been knackered in Japan.

Jim, lots of people put LS3s in them but the rotary suits it better.
