Going by book prices, his is worth more than mine, but also costs ££££ if it goes wrong.

Heres my Audi -

Are these similar to X5s, is it the gearbox that usually packs in? I see it's had a new one. Personally I would but I've just bought an X5 so SUVs are my current thing You'll get more looks in the Range anyway and people will assume you've got a bit of cash lol

Id rather drive the RR as its in the top three cars ive ever driven and will be way nicer than an Audi.

However, at 107k, suspension etc might need to be replaced soon so I would imagine it could get very pricey!

To be fair from the info he has sent me so far, hes spent alot of cash on it.

Brett, yea its the 3.0d from BMW.

Jambo, it had new bags on it last year so the suspension is spot on and also had a new gearbox last year too, gonna test drive it next week.

Pow, my inner chav is liking the looks!

I'd be asking why its been on a Hawkeye. The electrics on these have a bad rep. Not sure whether its justified.

Ian, Just spoke to a work colleague who was an engineer at Jag / Land Rover when this was launched, said the suspension was the only issue, the P38 was dogshit.

Re the Hawkeye, is it similar to Vagcom?

My ex had the V8 petrol variant and aside from terrible economy, the only thing that went wrong was a coolant hose blowing off in 15,000miles and that was on 150k.

All sounds good, the insurance isnt much worse than my Audi.

All are the issues I'm aware of, have been rectified / part changed.

Did you think an older (in respect to parts needing replaced etc) originally £80k Range Rover that weighs as much as a house would be cheaper to run and maintain that your economical diesel saloon?

it will be slow but who buys a Range Rover to go fast

MPG will be worse than tD audi for sure.... mid 20's round town at best... 30mpg on a run if taking it easy around 65mph

We didnt have a fullfat but the sport with the 2.7 V6 diesel. No real issues ... parking sensor gave up, coolant level sensor was a bit wonky. LOVED to eat brakes!
