Well my mother did, some mechanic guy came round whilst I was at work, and paid for it, no problem there, except he told my mum that he had 28 days to bring it back for his money back if he found any problems with it.
Dont sound right to me? tempted to ring him up and tell him that we wont be honouring any 28days money back warranty

suppose if you never said you were offering a warranty then you have no need to obligate one, id say stick it to him

No he doesn't. He's trying it on. Don't ring him though, if he comes back tell him to do one. Your not a trader, therefore you don't have to give the 28 day warranty.

Wouldn't say its a police matter. If anything comes of if you sent your bit away but never got a response simple.
Or send a letter to the DVLA informing them you are no longer the owner

He's drawn a white line on the floor at the end of his driveway. Once you get past it, it's out of warrantee

I sold a punto and the head gasket went 2 weeks later he rang up saying he was dropping the car off for a full refund, told him he wasn't and as bad as I feel it's no longer my problem, he said he's taking me to court... im still waiting nearly 2 years later for my court date.

You shouldn't mock it, not after your insurance claim 18 months on
