As some may know my exhaust needs sorting, still going to combe saturday regardless even though its blowing a bit but have no time to sort it this week

Been on the phone to longlife exhausts as they have a place in bicester which is down the road from where the car lives which is ideal, going to get a stainless system made from the downpipe back with a nice outward rolled back box

just trying to figure out the best bore size to go for, thinking 2 and 1/4 inch as im on standard power and standard manifold but heard 2 and 1/2 inch is a size some people use

any thoughts? want to figure out what i need to get as im probs going to get this done next saturday after combe as the exhaust is driving me potty at the moment

Think it was 2" standard from memory?

Depends, if your going down a TB route in the future, go with the larger. If your keeping it pretty standard, go with the smaller.

i think 2+1/4 will do the trick then in that case as i may increase the power a little more over the space of the year (funds permitting)

2.25" would be ideal tbh in your situation. 2.5" would be a bit over-kill on a nigh on standard motor. I would be worried about it losing power/torque etc.

yeh went for the 2.25" system from the downpipe back

just need to figure out which size tip i want, Rob from the exhaust fabricators said i can have any tip from this site i want
not sure what size would look best for an outward rolled tip

sizes from 2" to 5"

2 + 1/4 with a 3" tip i think also

Had 2.75" on mine, but it the exhaust was made with the rebuild i had planned in mind
