After pondering what to get, we looked at XR6 Turbo's and V8 Commodore but for our budget we wouldn't be happy. So until we can afford a HSV GTS or something we got this. Badged as a HSV VXR over here. They have Holden badging, Opel steering wheel with a VXR badge on the spoke, OPC dials, full leather they all have a individually numbered HSV plaque under the bonnet as only 300 are over here. (not the best pics as they as I took them on my mobile before leaving work)

Also we still have the Barina GSi 2.0. just debating what to do with it. (Track car/resto or sell)

Windows being tinted on Monday and will do more to it but got a house to build!

They are upto twice the price but we got a very good deal on this, garage apparantly priced it wrong. They where about $45000 new.

Calibras still go for strong money as do most second hand cars compared to the UK

Probably a wise move buying that. Fast, practical and ticks every other box really.

Id honestly honestly steer clear of any Australian-made cars.

Pretty much every Falcon or Commodore I get in at work is a pile of shit. Commodores more-so. The VE's are terrible. Yet to see what the VF will be like but hopefully theyre better. They do go like fuck with a V8 in them though!

The HSV GTS (Clubsport) is just a VE Commodore but again they go like fuck. 412bhp which is undeniably alot! But again reliability and cost of running is a major factor i feel.

Falcon XR6 Turbo is cheaper to buy and can be just as fast if not faster. Not seen too many FG Falcons in but i bet theyre slightly better than the Commodore.

Buy a Skyline!

My two (5) cents...

Thats what we thought. We get loads of Commodores and Falcons in and they arent very good. Also they handle like a yacht. Although as you say they do put a smile on your face whrn you put your foot down.

Loved the Walkinshaw one we had in work.

If you want a V8 buy a VT for cheap (lol) and kick its hole in. The LS1 will take it and it'll sound good haha.

My mate got a old Fairlane for $850 and it was a huge missile of a thing. Had it for a couple months and ended up smashing it up after a weekend of popping the tyres off it and pissing off the locals. HOONS!
