Looked at 2 rx7s now and both were shit, gone off the idea due to reliability, then looked at a r33 gtr... Was rusty as fuck and apparently a rust free import..put off those now.
Started looking at evos but know fuck all about them. Ideally i want a sub 50k miles one for my £10k but i want a standard one. Fq or whatever? Whats best?

Rx7s were £7k and £8k.. Gtr was £10k? Not sure why that has bearing.. First rx7 had air in coolant, second was tatty as fuck, gtr was tatty with diff colour panels and rust

You can get a very good FD or GTR for £10,000 mate. Don't understand how they can be rusty?

Have you decided on which one you defo want. You could be looking at a very well specced 6 or do you want something newer

It is quite easy how they can all be rusty. At the end of the day they are all old cars. It took me nearly 7 months of going all over the country to find my 5 because of the rust on 70% of them. When you looking at ones like yours they are a lot newer and not many if any would of got rust yet

Would have thought an evo for 10k would be fine. Especially a nice standard example.
I dont know much about them but lancer register forum for buying guide and classifields. i looked at it when i was considering one

Do you have the prerequisite rich mummy and daddy and an attitude of massively inflated importance to be able to handle an evo John?

Wowser I didn't realise Evo's were that much more to buy than Impreza, if 10k is indeed too low to find a decent one.
£10k in Impreza money will get you either an absolutely mint UK spec Blob or Hawk, potentially a nicely modified one if that's your thing - but it's also close to JDM money too.
I'd consider a JDM Hawk if I had to change my car, I reckon £10-12k will get you a really nice one of those, and it won't be rusty.

That gtr was a fresh jdm import, one of the sills was nearly rotted through.. Dcy imports if you want to see it
Basicly the fds just really arent suitable, too small and not reliable enough..
GTRs are nice but just too old imo.. I cant be fucked travelling all over to find one with no tinworm
Started looking at evos after sitting in one today, before i can make an informed decision on them i need to know whats available for my money..
From a scout about i want an fq340 in near standard guise with low ish miles.. Not fussed on it being an mr
Knowing the differancea between models would be a big plus though... Thought the gsi might of proved usefull tbh, i want a 2004/5 ish car tbh and it will need history and to be in vgc
