Strange. Won't be belt related, more likely to have spun a shell and welded the rod to the crank IMO.

I know it's not belt related now haha. Just when he told me there was a bang and then it all stopped that's my first thought. Engines never had any knocking or anything before though. Been a really healthy engine up until this. Very strange tbh. I thought he may of gone through a big puddle and sucked up a load of water and hydrolocked as its been raining hard a few nights back. But apparently it happened before then when it was dry...

Corsa-sxi... Something has happend and the conrod has snapped and smashed a hole in both sides of the block.

Andy.... From the turbos going and them sucking oil through? There was a transit that dod that on our industrial estate a few months back. Clouds of smoke as it was running on pure oil. Wouldn't switch off or anything. Just kept running at silly revs until it used up all the oil and the engine seized.

SVM....that is my boss' bike and yes it is a GT. rides it into work and about the estate if we need to go get parts and can't be bothered walking hahaha

Which engine is it? I've got a pd engine for sale, it could do with some rings in it though £500 (if it didn't need rings I'd get 1k + for it)

It's a BXE PD engine lee. I know how much they go for as we've already bought one for it. We can't buy parts of randomers for customers cars anyways (no offence). We have to go through a proper company otherwise there not covered under our insurance. Little bits don't matter too much but things like engines we obviously have to be careful about
