Lucky bastard, I love the V8 supercar series. It's a nice big 2 fingered ozzy salute to the concept of environmentally friendly motorsport.
Are the corporate passes for anything particular (i.e. a team) or is it more of a sponsourship thing?

Exactly! No one gives a fuck about eco shite here! Cars never get emissions tested etc.
The passes are organised by one of the sponsors (whos name i have forgotten) but im not entirely sure how it all works. All i know is i got a ticket worth $360 for free!

I try to catch up with them on MotorsTV but the footage is a bit vauge this year.
Not seen how the new Mercs and Nissan are getting on, wonder how the Aussie crowds are accepting them (being as your either Holden, or Ford, thats it haha).
Casey Stoners in the lower level V8's as well in the Red Bull car.
We do have a series similar in Europe to this, V8 Superstars, but tbh the Mercs seem to dominate, especially at Monza. But its a good selection of cars, Jags, Audis, BMW's, Mercs, Maserati's etc etc. Just the driver level is not as high and its no-where near as close (nor does it come to the UK).
V8 supercars are far FAR better than our BTCC racing, much closer, much faster, and better racing, and sounds epic too, especially each CRACK during the gearchanges.
Advice, tag a keg of beer for yourself to be part of the crowd

Some of the pics didnt come out great but I was pretty drunk and im using a little DSC camera.
Was a great day out and i did not spend a single penny! Sunburnt, stinking of ethanol, very drunk and very full of food.
All in all, an awesome day.
