It was awesome. The running was really hard, the only that I think you need to train for, and I didn't get running trainers like suggested, if I do it again I'd get running shoes for sure
And the electric shocks were so painful, your whole body just spasms!
I certainly wouldn't wanna do it with a messed up hip lol
Videos for anyone interested http://youtu.be/dmPDWPsXIKI

Looked decent enough until electrocution came into play What's the entrance fee for something like this? And how long is the course?
Gary - According to the youtube video, he did it in 3 and a half hours.

If you joined as a team how did you pay for this? Online or registration office?

The best feeling of satisfaction ever as you cross the line! And a t-shirt, orange sweatband and a beer.

Good stuff mate, you get decent weather? We had rain for some of it which did make a little bit harder as it was really cold. Wasn't bad when the sun came out, although everytime you started to dry there was another bloody water obstacle

Yeah it was savage mate I'm not even going to sugarcoat it, it proper hurt and just thinking about it and listening to the video for the 'cracks' makes me shiver It was £90 I think so not the cheapest event but it honestly is worth every penny, alot of prep goes into this event!

Good stuff Paul that was kind of what I wanted so that people who had never heard of it could get an idea of what it's like. Most of my mates couldn't understand why it was so hard till they watched the video Would be quite cool if they did, I've never had so many comments on a youtube video as it is!

Fee I used a Go Pro 1 HD with a head strap, you are told to hold onto it on Walk The Plank but other than that it stayed on perfectly
Suppose if you're claustrophobic it could be difficult, getting out was really hard, I've seen some with ropes which is a good idea but this didn't have one, I struggled out

I'm doing this on the 9th June in Winchester
Great video, gives me a good idea what I'm in for.
What did you wear? Do you recommend gloves? If so, what kind?

Definetly recommend wearing gloves, I'd have hated not too. I liked the ones I was wearing which I bought on the day in the Merchandise tent for £15. A couple of mates had cycling ones, but they went a bit funny and weren't very grippy. Mine were really really grippy but by the time it came to the monkey bars they were soaking wet and probably offered less grip than skin
I was just wearing a Sports Direct cheap pair of shorts and t-shirt. I'd wear the same again next time it was perfect to be honest. Just cheap trainers though, get running shoes!!

Love the team name! Haha
How come there's people around you looking spotless after you went through the mud crawl? Can you skip obstacles?

I did the London South one.
No training what so ever.
At the start line:

And about 9 miles in:

The electric shocks hurt!
We finished in around 2:45.
Not bad, ended up over taking people a few groups ahead of us who do triathalons and things. These guys were proper giving it mouth about how much they trained, as they got over taken by a bloke in a chicken suit, with no training.
The thing to get you through it is teamwork and having a laugh.
At mile 10 I literally skipped past people saying 'Come on bitches'
