hi i was wondering if anybody could tell me which corsas came with the type 2 mount shell???as my gsi is a little worse for wear and i now want to buy a type 2 donor car to put all my gsi parts onto

I take it you're on about the engine conversion mounts?

As I understand it, type 2 is any shell that had a 16v engine in it or had power steering. Type 1 is for 8v engines.

Well the answer is still the same. Any 16v Corsa or any Corsa that has power steering.

type two mounts are weak as piss, iv snapped one while driving and its not nice. if its small block and non p/s or lecky p/s why not use a conversion chassis leg plate and type1 type rubber and put a gearbox mount on that side... my old x18xe1 had that on with epas

it wasn't rotten... was the bit that the nut screws onto, snapped the pressed in thread bit clean off where is pressed in
