Think you might get a better response posting this on the strathy site!

Can't beleive that they think that closing down bank street, vicar street and manor street is going to combat the problem of "boy racing". Those streets aren't even part for the "Circuit"!!! People have been taking their cars to Falkirk for well over 20 years and nothing has ever managed to stop them before so what makes them think that they can stop it now? It really is just the minority who spoil it for the rest since the residents really only complain about the loud music late at night, the speed that the cars go at, the rubbish that people litter the streets with and the dangerous driving that some of the "boy racers" exhibit.

The suggestions about the "stringents checks" could possibly combat the problem since then the people who drive sensibly and don't break any laws will be able to continue driving and those who don't will have their licences revoked.

The town centre was known as the "circuit" for years thats why we call it that. So when people ask if they are any places to drive about in falkirk we just say the circuit because its the only place in falkirk to show off your car.

No I am not saying I am a boyracer, I am posting as it's of interest to me as it's my home town and it's of interest to other members of this board as many also come from Falkirk.

A boy racer wants to be the centre of attention, wants people to look at em, and loves to turn heads..........be it doing donuts, handbrake turns, wheels spins or kitting up their car so people look at it, i would rather have a car that went quick, and looked factory (not standard, just refined)

well it just seems to me like your being agressive to the other side of the boy racer. driving around is fine (gay but fine) but when you get twats reving engines hard and driving abouve speed limits in town centres it does tend to piss people off. I have no sympathy for twats like that.
