I have a few things I was going to have painted on the car but I was wondering what prices I should expect. First off the parts are not damaged just the odd mark/stone chip so its just strictly a paint job, no fixing/replacing broken parts.
Can you give me a rough price for the full front end respray, bonnet, bumper and both wings. Also the black part where my rear number plate sits would need done as its textured and I'd like it smooth gloss.

For a basic blow over on 3 panels? Any more than £500 your paying way more than what the jobs worth!

From experience i'd say you get what you pay for, unless you can get mates rates.
I'd rather pay more for a top drawer job tbh.
Speak to Tomnova definatley for a guide price.

Through the work I would be in the region of around £550-£600 inclusive. That's with all the front and rear bumper off.

As everyone is saying 550-600 is about the rough price id look at! Any Cheaper and workmanship is probably not going to be of the same standard, Ie not removing panels etc! As ben said unless its mates rates you get what you pay for! Don't get me wrong ive seen good jobs that were done at half the price but never the same! Get as many quotes from well known local body shops, even try a couple further away and then choose which one but id say 550 is about the rough average price on that job for a good job

If you go cheap corners will be cut. You getr what you pay for.
Go to a proper place or pay cheaper and live with a less than perfect job

No ones said that? Things like bonnet will be shut and wings and bumpers would be left on etc

What you mean by bonnet shut?
The only panel to come off would be the bumper and the rear just to get the Center part off.

If wings are being painted wouldn't you open the bonnet for a proper job so theres not an edge on the edge of the wing?

No. Foam edge the wings and shut bonnet.

I had a full re spray on a blob eye impreza for £500 . I didn't know the guy either , the quality was good enough to sell. I normally send all mine to one lad who's work is impeccable , I can't get a whole medium car done for £800, that's with panels off and oven . All these body men on here that quote £2k etc for a standard car respray on here are dreamers or very lucky that they get work.
IMO of course , price doesn't always reflect quality .

I had a bumper painted for £80.
To me, it was a perfect job. No runs, shiny, glass like mirror finish, done off the car etc. But im no bodyshop guru so i don't know what defies a good job to a bad job.
