No there was a thing a while ago where you pay about £30 and you turn up and drive some of their VXRs round a track

You have been pre-allocated a colour group prior to arrival. You are in the GREEN GROUP.

What are the timings?
10:00 Registration opens
11:00 Registration closes
11:00 Welcome / Track briefing
11:30 Track sessions start promptly
12:30 Activities close, lunch and depart

was ok. I get the impression that if you have done track days then it wont be as enjoyable.

My first time on a track so I should fit in.

What was involved?

Guy in the white Insignia was really supportive and clearly wanted you to have a go. Gave it full beans and he was still telling me to get on the power earlier and brake later.

Scottish guy who was in a red Astra was telling me I'd overcooked it and was going to run wide even though I was not even on the outside kerbs after winding it off.

Guy in the Black Corsa complimented me on a nice drive which was nice, also on a fairly ragga but not bonkers as that was my first go and I didn't want to bend it.

You'll enjoy it. Did queue for a bit of time but nothing unreasonable. Got four drives and one fast lap as passenger.

Astra brakes are immense. Insignia is the most powerful and feels it, really smooth. Corsa felt wanting in that company but still very capable.

The only time I've driven at Oulton it was monsoon conditions so i'm praying its dry tomorrow!

astra was my favourite
