Getting to the point where I'm getting bored and slightly annoyed at driving old cars like corsas or polo's or what ever.
Old rattely and handle like crap.
Thinking of getting a newer car. Something either brand new on finance or something 08 onwards
If its second hand then around 7-8k if its new then what ever really haha
Been looking at jcw mini's or ctr's.
Any ideas? Kind of stuck for cars tbh.

Mk2 Leon cupra lol. Seriously tho they come with a lot of extras as standard, and have the superb engine and turbo out of the new shape S3, edition 30 golf so the tuning capabilities are great. You'll pick up a mint 07 upwards one for £7k+. If I didn't buy one them I would have kept on the look out for the new shape S3 but you'll pay through the nose for one with the options you want.

Something new being the main thing. Something that handles well. Looks sporty enough. Some tuning capabilities.
Not fussed about it being silly fast or what ever. Something like a 1.6-2.0. Nippy more than fast of that makes sence

Don't think I could insure any on the John da silva.
I don't particular like clips to be honest. Haven't looked at the 197's though tbh

A good 197 is a good choice. Probably get an f1 model within your budget. Nice recaros, handle well and look good. Insurance is decent too. Was looking at some earlier.

I've been looking at the new Fiesta Zetec S. It has the 1 litre turbo engine that pushes out 125ps and 0-60 in just over 9s; so very capable for a small engine. Free tax, cheap insurance, look good. Not sure on the tuning capabilities though.
The new Fiesta ST has just been released as well. Think that's a 1.6. I priced one up the other day and they're around 18k but obviously you'd get it on finance.

Haven't even thought about a st tbh! However speaking of the focus and fiestas. A mate of mine has just got a brand new focus and its awesome. Goes alright for a 1ltr aswell.

Corsa VXR does handle well apparently? Second only to the Clio, meant to be a very good car. Only downside is not so great on fuel.
Clio is great choice but will not be tuneable really unless you have deep pockets, this will be true for all n/a cars though.
Megane is a fantastic shout for your budget!

Yeah same here
I'd be looking at a 3 series or similar tbh. You say you're bored of a corsa so I'd get a bigger car and a guarantee you won't be looking at hatchbacks again. Either a really clean example of a e46 330 convertible or could get a high mileage e90/2.
Z4, s2k, 530d and a dc5 will also be on my list at that budget.

Sure they're ok to drive they just look like deformed Lego, and are built using deformed Lego. Really not a well made car at all.

Clio 197 or 200 IMO, best value for money.
FF with Cup Packs. Recaros.
Corsa Vxr's handle well too btw, my brothers had his for 5 years and loves it
