My family are travelling to sharm el sheik on saturday, mum is shitting herself.
Pretty sure the resort areas are fine though. We went after the 2011 revolution and there was no problem.

Sharm is nothing to do with what's going on in Cairo, no need to worry there.

Irregardless the country is in pieces, it's generally a shithole at the best of times but this makes it that bit worse.

Two of my mates are working in Sharm El Sheik as holiday reps at the moment and they're saying if shit kicks off then people just won't be allowed into the Country.

I believe you get sent home, but I'm no expert. Just relaying info I've been told.

Shit was kicking off her friends were stuck there on holiday and couldn't get out, was arranged for them to stay with him.
Scarey shit.
Glad they've booted that extremist shit out though.

Our's wasn't too badly priced after the revolution and the shark stuff.
Funnily enough, my dad only booked it a month or so ago as the price went down a lot.
I can't see the locals getting in on any riots/protests seeing as without the holidayers, they'd be in poverty.
I spoke to a room cleaner and he said he makes 300 GBP a month in the hotel. That doesn't seem much, but he said it's actually a very good wage out there.
