Is it really news though?
These loop holes are discovered in windows, Java, flash etc on a regular basis and patches are regularly released.

Another week another android exploit, as said certainatly nothing new.

If you side loads apps you deserve to have your data stolen tbf.

Maybe not deserve, but if you're installing apps that aren't approved then you should be aware of the risks of it and can't complain if it all goes tits up.

Objective C is one of the worst programming languages I've ever come across, even with ARC it's just a pain in the arse.

You're right Javas straight forward in comparison.
