Hey guys.
I used a jet wash thismorning (not something i usually do)
To remove a bird poo from the front edge of my bonnet.

But it peeled off a big strip of laquer!!!.

Anything i can do to protect it short term untill i get it sprayed up?

Also, has anyone used a Vauxhall (evans halshaw) bodyshop?.
Are they good?. as ideally i need a courtesy car.

If its only peeled laquer and paint is showing, will be fine.

its going to have to be stripped back and repainted anyway so id just go Halfords get a can of laquer and spray over it, will look shit but no worse than it currently does

Will be fine as it is in short term. Couple of weeks.

Alot of bodyshops offer courtesy cars so don't have to stick with a dealer.

Personally would use a smaller place. Should be able to turn it round in a day.

Annoyingly i only had the bonnet sprays 6 months ago.
However, that bodyshop has packed up now.
Wonder if he didnt key it in properly?

Being an Arden astra, i hear alot of places cannot colourmatch arden very well.
May stick with the dealer if i can.

A dealership will be able to match it just like any other place with a mixing scheme.

Down to the eye of the painter when choosing the variant.

Maybe it didnt stick to the Basecoat but it may of been a stone chip that water has got under and the pressure washer has lifted it. Hard to say.
