Why do you always get time wasters that just fuck you about? PITA
On another note... Am I asking too much for my xe at £2300? Or should I whip the plate off and sell the car for under 2k and the plate separately?

Depends where you're selling it for starters. If you're using gumtree, then there's your issue, time waster central.
Personally I'd strip off what you can and sell seperately. Stick the car on ebay for 7days and at the end you'll get what it's worth

It's on here. Migweb. Pistonheads and a couple of vauxhall corsa fb things. Can't be arsed with Gumtree pricks
Ill take the plate off and sell separately. Was talking to Danny b about it the other day. Seems the best thing to do

Just a question of if the plate is worth what you think it is after the cost of putting it on retention, £105

No doubt, but for that money you could get a 300bhp Impreza for example that pisses on it in every way. There's loads more examples of great cars you could get for that money too. Without being too negative, it's a P reg corsa.
Had to edit to add that I mean no disrespect to Flaffy, it is a lovely corsa. You just have to compete with the market if you want to sell.

I dont wish to sound rude, and its a nice example of a nice car but in my opinion that price is probably twice if not more the going rate.
Iv looked at the spec list and there is nothing specfic to add value over anything else on the market. Id stick it up fot 1500 although i think it would struggle at that.

Agree with Steve and Brett, it's a nice looking car that looks well built but at the minute Corsa B's are at the stage of being worth jack shit, can pick up a 182 Clio for the kind of money your asking.

It's when people are 50-60 miles away and they say "oh sorry, too far mate."
Don't buy a car if you're not willing to travel cross country to get it, you obviously don't want it that much.
EDIT: And yeah, I think you're looking for a bit much for it with those specs. It's hard to put a number on something that has so much sentimental value and effort put into it but at the end of the day, it's probably worth more to you than anyone else on the planet and so you'll only ever get what someone's willing to pay for it, not what you think you deserve for it.

Thats like if i sold mine. I would like between 1000-1500 but probably wouldnt get that. I think i would rather keep it and run it into the ground than sell it for less than a grand.

Agree with Steve, it's a nice looking example but it doesn't have too much of a spec sheet and is around £1k over value IMO.

That's the thing. I'd have to sell the reg for 500 to make the money back for it pretty much. Hmm
As for the bit about the car I know you didn't mean it in a bad way.it is just a corsa at the end of the day. Ill just have to drop the price and see what happens i guess.
Would you lot say £1800 with the plate would be a good price?
Appreciate the honesty btw chaps

It's not about making your money back out of the plate, it's about making the best of a crap situation,
People just aren't really spending out on cars like this or parts for cars like this at the moment,
I have a stock pile of crap I need to sell, hi spec gear but I'm letting it sit waiting for people to start buying again.
