After selling my Astra VXR back in December of last year, I intended to keep the little Fiesta I had and pocket the cash after settling the outstanding finance. Within a week I realised I needed something with a bit of poke and settled upon a M3.
Picked up a 04 plate convertible, with 65k on it at the beginning of January, and did a few minor mods including LED bulbs and smoked indicators, as well as a lot of cleaning.

The end result :

Roll on 6 months and it was our annual trip to the Nurburgring. Sadly my mum passed away the night before I was due to come home and due to poor weather the few days previous I never got to do a lap in the M3.
Never felt right driving the M3 after getting home, so it was sold just after 6 months of buying it.

Next up was to get a run around so I got this fine example of a Corsa 1.2 16v automatic

So now onto the garage queen ..... My dream car has always been a Porsche 911, my mum knew this and was always buying me bits and bobs related to the 911, telling me one day she would buy me a real one.
So with the money from the M3 and some money from my inheritance I started scouting for 911's in my price range, with the stipulation set by my dad that it won't ever be used on tracks. I also added, due to the nature of the meaning of the car, that I won't ever sell it.
Eventually settled on the one below. It's a 2001 3.6 996 Carrera manual in Basalt metallic black with Graphite Grey leather interior. It's on 47k, and the last owner had it for 5 years, and in that time hasn't skimped on keeping it running It's by no means perfect, well not in my terms Needs a damn good clean, which will have to wait until it cools down abit, then I'll ship it off to Rich for a detail/ correction similar to what Ed had done on his Boxster when I can get booked in

Thanks for looking

That is a sexy car, exact colour and model I was after a couple of years ago. Wish I bought one now how are you finding it?

That M3 was seriously nice, looked very classy IMO and stands out from most. Not keen on the corsa mind

It's lovely and baring in mind it's 12 years old there's no squeaks or rattles
M3 ended up looking quite clean, but had a few problems. Photos always make them look cleaner. Don't get me wrong the Porsche is clean, it's not my clean yet though
I needed a run around, wanted to be lazy and also needed something for my dad to practice in as he hasn't driven since his stroke 4 years ago and has an assessment next month, so there was method in the madness

I'd be pricing up the gt kit already lol. Have you any plans for it?

That's fair enough with the corsa then, hope he manages fine with it and passes

Lovely car! Love the older models.

Only thing I would do to it, is a private plate to hide the age. No one can tell if its a clean example like you have

The only number plate I want is ST06KER, but can't put it on this car

That's fair enough, was just thinking like a cheap one, with just 911 or something on it.

It's a lovely example, you wouldn't know it's age with a plate

I really want one of these but I'm too scared after tales of engine problems and big bills

That's lovely though!
