Left my permit in glovebox haha.
Photo copied both together
Appeal (and admit I've received their fine/letter) and tell them the truth (forgot to
Display)
Or ignore like the other non council ones.

I would have done without asking if didn't have permit, would of preferred to take easier route.
I know it's just letters but I don't really want them coming here. Mrs ignored her one from services and nothing happened, but sent like 8 letters some recorded. I get lot of parcels and don't want to go up fkin sorting office just to collect a letter

I know he has taken pics, as I was told which is why I went to check my car. He was gone by time I got there.
So I assume he took pics of windscreen to cover himself

Do you have to display it in the windscreen? You could have had it on another window for some reason?

No
Idea tbh.
Our branch gets given around 7 a year, and we pay £5 a month for them.
Doesn't say anything on the back,
Just what's pictured

Appeal it. If they reject your appeal, ignore it.

Take the pics and photoshop the ticket on and tell them they photoshopped the ticket off.

If you appeal it they will know you are the owner and know that you are obviously worried about this "invoice".
Appealing it will make you lose and you'll get more threatening letters and you'll get more worried.
On the basis that you said that you don't want to ignore the letters, then pay it.
If it was me i'd spend it on myself knowing they can't do anything.
But each to their own

Or say it was on the dash, damn that hot sun for making the shitty plastic peel off.

It don't matter to them where it was. It simply was not on the dashboard. It doesn't matter if the wind blew it, or a bird took it away, or is self combusted, it was not there when they took the picture!

Just a quick heads up as usually I'd agree to ignore as this it what I've always done with great success in the past.
But, this time round they're taking my wife through the small claims court. I am of course fighting it as tbh I'd rather have a go and lose and pay a few quid then just cave in and pay.
Fucking vultures IMHO, hate them with a passion.

Excel have not won a court case as yet!
Make sure you see it out Jim and it'll cost them.
The worse that can happen if they take you to court is you pay the fine........
You might as well go fighting as they will not win!

When you go to court it's them who'll have to prove you're in the wrong, not you having to prove you're right.
Also with this one they've called it a Parking Charge Notice in the hope that some people may get confused and mistake it for an official Penalty Charge Notice.

So mixed opinions then haha.

Is what made me question the appeal. I park in same place everyday, would have thought they'd recognise car, it's not a huge car park, and loads space around each car

Of course they recognise the car, they have targets to meet and you made his day easier by giving him an unexpected easy ticket.
Don't make contact and it'll go away quicker. If it went to Court they can only claim for any income they lost out on by you parking without paying but seeing as you have a permit that makes that amount £0.00. Not really worth it to them.
